What is GeraClone?
GeraClone is a personal-clone service. You build a clone of yourself trained on your own data (Drive, Gmail, Photos, WhatsApp exports, voice memos, manual journal entries) plus structured interviews, then put it to work: handling routine email while you focus, teaching your expertise to paying subscribers, or answering your family so they don't have to wait for you.
Is this a memorial service?
No — and we've resisted every instinct to frame it that way. GeraClone is for living people who want to get more done, earn from their expertise, or coordinate with family. We do offer an optional "archive mode" for clones that outlive their creator, but it's one toggle among four, not the product pitch.
Can an impostor fake a message from my clone?
No. Every clone response is signed with an ed25519 key that only your clone can use. The public key is on your Clone profile; anyone receiving a message can paste the signature into our /verify endpoint to confirm it actually came from your clone. Voice-clone misuse is separately guarded by the safety layer — your clone will refuse to ask your contacts for urgent money, even if a scammer instructs it to.
How much control do I have over my data?
Complete control. Every file you upload is stored under your account in our encrypted object store. You can export everything in one click (GDPR art. 15). You can request full deletion at any time — we soft-delete for 30 days (so you can reinstate) then hard-delete. We never sell your data and we never train a foundation model on it.
How does the expert tier earn money?
You publish your clone as a monthly-subscription listing — pick a price between £0.99 and £4,999. Subscribers pay via Stripe. Stripe Connect destination charges transfer 70% to your account automatically on each invoice; 30% stays on GeraClone. No opaque revenue schedules, no negotiated rake.
What if my clone says something I disagree with?
Your clone learns only from what you give it. If you don't want it to have an opinion on something, leave it out of your data + don't answer the relevant interview question. You can also set refusal rules per topic in your dashboard. If your clone still goes off-script, flag the message and we'll retrain — your signed message ledger gives you an audit trail.
Can AI agents use GeraClone?
Yes. We publish @gera-services/mcp-gera-clone as a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Agents can discover expert listings, view public clone profiles, and (with an operator consent token) initiate subscriptions on behalf of their operator. Can I set up an "archive mode" for after I'm gone?
Optionally, yes. Archive mode is a quiet toggle on your clone — if you designate beneficiaries in the dashboard and they later activate the estate with a verified death certificate, your clone moves to ARCHIVE status. The disclosure text updates to state the clone is now managed by your estate, and billing transfers. Most customers never use this.
Which countries is GeraClone available in?
Worldwide, with day-one GDPR compliance (UK + EU + EEA). US customers enjoy the same privacy protections. If you're in a country with additional local AI regulation, archive-mode + voice-clone features follow the regulatory pre-flight checklist per Gera Compliance — ask us if you're unsure.
What does GeraClone NOT do?
It doesn't scrape the internet for photos of you. It doesn't train a foundation model on your data. It doesn't pretend to be alive. It doesn't ask your contacts for urgent money. It doesn't hide behind your identity in scam scenarios — we refuse those requests at the pipeline level.
How do I get started?
Create an account, connect your first data source (Drive or Gmail is fastest), spend 15 minutes on the interview flow, and your clone is ready to chat. Most customers have a usable clone after their first session and keep refining it over days or weeks.
